CLEVELAND - A burglar couldn't ruin Aliza Beastrom's wedding this weekend.

Recently, a thief broke into her Ohio City home and took several items, including her wedding bands.

Even worse, an engagement ring belonging to Beastrom's long-deceased grandmother was also taken. She had planned to carry that ring in her bouquet.

But despite the crime and loss, Beastrom decided it wouldn't ruin her spirits.

"I have too much to be thankful for... I just made a decision that I don’t have time to be stressed out and fearful and angry, so I’m not. I’m just going to be happy."

The owners of Don Basch Jewelers in Macedonia saw her story Thursday night and decided to help.

"We decided there should be no person, as long as we can help it, who should be without their rings," Dennis Basch said.

Beastrom was blown away by their generosity.

"It's good to know there are still people out there who care about each other and want to be able to provide and do what they can. They had the ability to do this and it's just so generous."

Beastrom and her fiance tie the knot on Saturday.

Thank you Channel 5 for helping us share!

We hope that with any luck, the crime will be solved and the heirloom jewelry returned.
